Quick-Facts:
- NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter is scheduled for launch on 10 August 2005.
- The spacecraft will reach Mars in March 2006.
- MSSS Connection: MSSS is built and delivered the
Mars Color Imager (MARCI) for wide angle, daily global views of
Mars, and the Context Imager (CTX) for 6 meter per pixel views
of the planet's surface. MSSS President, Michael C. Malin, is
the Principal Investigator for the MARCI experiment.
